Why use paper?
Updated: Sep 7, 2018
As new technology develops, we use an electronic system that all our staff use to log in to each visit.
This system enables us to monitor each visit and to allow staff to check their rota's for the day and the rest of the week. We want all staff to be self managing and we would like to develop the use of electronic systems within the health care sector to improve accountability and transparency. We would like to see these systems be utilized to the fullest by including medication, tasks and care plans.
To reduce our carbon foot print we would like to move with the times and become paperless.
What are your thoughts on the use of electronic systems?
In America they have in the recent years introduce new policies and expectations for the further use of electronic systems. Remarkably since the introduction of just the medication auditing and administration electronic systems the statistics have a clear trend, that the use of technology is proving to be successful for all involved from the prescription through to the users.
Why are we as a nation being slow to develop further systems to support our health industry?
